... NY and had a wonderful lunch along the shore of Lake Erie. The water was a beautiful blue/green color and an old stone lighthouse was a short distance away. Did I mention the shipwreck?

Passing through Pennsylvania and New York, the grapes were ready for picking and the 'cow' corn was being harvested.

In Youngstown Ohio. 690 miles today another 11 hours in saddle. Chicago is just nasty period. I heard a poll before we left on trip that NJ was top state that if it went away no one would mind, I really think it should be Illlinois! The only thing is they have a Sweet Tomatoes!!!! ... adage "someone trash is someone else's treasure". On our way back from there, stopped in for lunch at a great little diner set up to look like a railway car with the additional features of a science straight out of a fifties diner. Excellent service and food too, as evidenced by the fact we had to wait in line for a table. The following night, Saturday, we enjoyed an outdoor barbecue dinner beside the pool. ... were with men in scoring position; 4 with two men in scoring position, and 4 with the bases loaded. Five times Cyclone batters struck out looking. Can't get hits with the bat on the shoulder. The Scrappers, meanwhile, struck out only 4 times, leaving only 5 men on base.
