... around Azalea Bowl, which is a part of the gardens where various types of azaleas decorate a small lake.  It's so beautiful!  Many azaleas had already withered, even though I think they are supposed to be at their peak in April/May. Maybe it's been a hot spring.  We strolled to the chapel where an organ performance is held everyday 2-4pm. So the area my parents live in has a famous attraction called Callaway Gardens.  It's a 2,500 acres of gorgeous land, containing manicured landscapes, golf courses, horticultural centers, chapel, trails, lakes, sandy beach, and more!  They hold many special events including concerts and hot air balloon festival! It was very informative and well done to honour his memory. It will be 50 years this August since the Washington Freedom March, which he organised in protest on segregation, poverty and inequality for black people (and all those minorities who experienced this) ...

Our morning started at around 7:00, when we boarded the speedboat for Rinca, an island in Komodo National Park. Here, there be dragons. I have to admit, it was a little anti-climactic. I dot know what I was expecting - we saw several dragons, which is what we were there to do. Bu most of them were just hanging out at the ranger station waiting for scraps. Wilderness survival at its best, right?!?!?! We did a hike, which lasted for about an ...
