On entering the photo contest at the Spokane Rose Society (at Northland Rosarium) I got a blue ribbon! And, 2 red ribbons! Not bad for an amateur!
Now I’ve got to get home and work with Kent on his Powerpoint presentation on Buck Roses as promised!

We arrived at midnight in Spokane, 21 hours after we took off from Manchester! Got our car a friend had brought to the airport, and we actually didn't struggle too much to stay awake for the 50 minute drive home. Dan had to be reminded a few times at first to "keep right"; it was crazy how two weeks in the UK had already made driving on the left...seem right. ;) We pulled into our driveway and saw Gracie's head in the window. After the 2 ½ weeks with Susan and Eldon in Spokane we hooked up the trailer for the final leg of the journey. We decided to avoid the mountain passes and drove Route 2, a beautiful ride through Priest River, Washington, Sand Point, Idaho and Libby, Montana before returning to our favorite Valley in the country.
