... some drinks, ordered some food. All was well. Fifteen minutes later, waitress checks in. Thirty minutes later waitress apologizes for the delay. Forty-five minutes later waitress says their printer broke so the ticket never got to the kitchen. One full hour and a manager comes to apologize for the wait as well. Our waitress can't seem to talk to us any more lol!

We arrived at midnight in Spokane, 21 hours after we took off from Manchester! Got our car a friend had brought to the airport, and we actually didn't struggle too much to stay awake for the 50 minute drive home. Dan had to be reminded a few times at first to "keep right"; it was crazy how two weeks in the UK had already made driving on the left...seem right. ;) We pulled into our driveway and saw Gracie's head in the window. ... that had to be figured out as it was not readily announced . . . or if it was, it could not be heard by ANYONE!!

But, after the usual confusion, they got us hustled to our car . . . not a very long walk . . . and to our 'sleeper' room . . . it was nicer than the roomette of previous trips . . . and a little better than our ViaRail digs earlier in the trip! And, we got a little bottle of champagne . . . for our troubles!!
