... about an hour east of Seattle. On Sunday, we drove in to Seattle for the day. What fun! We went to Pike's Market, walked the waterfront, ate at The Crab Pot, toured the Underground and rode the trolley around the city.
Monday we are back on I-90 headed east which will be our route all the way to Illinois. Yes, we are headed to Roscoe! Yea! But first we have to stop in Spokane for some coach maintenance.

We arrived at midnight in Spokane, 21 hours after we took off from Manchester! Got our car a friend had brought to the airport, and we actually didn't struggle too much to stay awake for the 50 minute drive home. Dan had to be reminded a few times at first to "keep right"; it was crazy how two weeks in the UK had already made driving on the left...seem right. ;) We pulled into our driveway and saw Gracie's head in the window. ... open . . . so I walked down to find out . . . but on the way passed another (newer) venue, The Lodge, . . . a sort of upscale sports bar. Lots of wood, a rustic feel, and large booths . . . and not too busy at 2:00 p.m.!! I got a menu to show Carol.

Picked up the car today, we were expecting an economy white chevy thing.....no... She upgraded us to a sporty black fiat 500. It shifts.... We have decided to call it sophia loren. Filled the whole tank for twenty quid, only used half to get to spokane, Its a bit in the sticks and the waitress nearly died when we asked for whole bottle of wine...they didnt know which buttons ...
