... skills. Gramps had fun at bath time one evening when Bea showed him how well she can drink bathwater. Bathwater tastes so much better than tap! Prior to mastering the cup with baby lid thing, she was drinking straight from cups, with a little help from her friends and a lot of dribbling. We will really miss her and her fabulous smiles and giggles!

Saturday morning we had a very early start and Rosie rose with the crows to take us to the airport. It looked for a while as though we ...
Deagon, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia jenandtony... in the last few days Brisbane, Brissie or Brisvegas have not disappointed Brisbane Brisbane is growing, it is the third largest city in Australia, with a population of 2 million.. it has grown enormously in the last 5 years and is still growing, new suburbs are being planned, developed and built, new road and transport structures are in the midst of construction and new bars/ clubs are being opened on an almost daily basis. The city centre nestles ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia hess... hard going straight out when everyone else is drunk. While we wandered more into the centre looking for somewhere we stopped off for a quick chicken burger. While I was ordering Sam hatched a plan to speak to the woman at the new agent kiosk and ask where the gay nightlife was as we thought we'd have a better night there if its anything like at home. The woman told her were we needed to head towards and told us it ws in an area called the Valley ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oldhamguy... which was all very nice. We then walked back through the main centre of Brisbane and found a Woolworths, very exciting, although it's a supermarket. We stopped for a drink at the Pig and Whistle. Apparently a "Traditional British" pub. Being as it was outside, stays open 24 hours a day and the beer is cold it was not like any pubs I frequent back home. We wandered back and got some beer from a beer shop in the hope that it would be ...
Brisbane, Australia yvetteandjack... there was a huge festival going on. Turns out if was mass chaos! It was fun to see all the people dressed ridiculously in Australia clothing, which face paint and flags for capes. But there were also way more people in the park than there probably should have been... So we got there, grabbed a smoothie, walked around a bit and eventually found the outdoor movie screen and we sat down to watch National Treasure: Book of Secrets ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia erinaldo1587Okay, breaking news, we have booked Flight to Iguassu Falls return to Buenos Aires then a connecting flight to Lima on 9th June. This will avoid the cross country trip planned which may have involved flooding in Santa Cruz, terrorism, roits and pickpockets just about everywhere. Not as adventurous, but at least we are guaranteed on getting to Lima on time. El KImo
Brisbane, Australia kimbell... taken with the emus and Rachel with the baby koalas. We then randomly bumped into Stuart's ex house mates (Pete) , ex-girlfriend Fliss so had a drink with her and since have seen her everywhere! ' The next day was our final day in Brisbane so we went up to the summit of Mount Coot-ha to see the view which was pretty spectacular. We wandered around the shops for a bit where everyone was doing their Christmas shopping in the heat - strange! Before dinner ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia rachandstu... beach area first. The similarities between this Scarborough and the one in England end with the name. It's a fair bit nicer here, and richer. Most of the houses on the river side have their own boats moored up next to their houses! All except one house which just had a canoe moored up where everyone else had their boats! That would be our house without a doubt - spend all the cash on big TV's and beer and screw the boat!! After an hour of deciding which boat we would steal, we ...
Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia vickersontour... as far afield as Siberia and Alaska. They must have been somewhat delayed when we entered the hide on tip toe. I didn't see any. My son tried to spot a Big-Breasted Tit, but apparently he too was disappointed. Thoroughly drained from our physical exertions, we stopped at a shopping centre near the Nudgee Road turnoff from the M1. This modern oasis is flush with Uncle Tony's Kebabs, McCafe, Red Rooster and Coles Express. JM bought two ...
Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia johannesl... to keep swimming to build up muscle tone. Watching the mum guide the calf was amazing. The calf shadows mum in every twist and turn. The calf feeds every 5 min from mum, who squirts her milk into the calf's mouth. We all got to have a turn with the dolphins and it was great. Moreton Island is a sand island and provided lots of other activities. The next day we went to conquer the mountain with a he quicker you walked up to the top the more rides you get. Grant, Byron ...
