    On the road again!!

A travel blog entry by coronafamily on Jun 21, 2015

We're hitting the road again today. We will be heading towards New Orleans to see the sights. Eboney has read a few books that mention the Lafayette cemetery so that will be one of the sights. Although we are driving, this is going to be a great Father's Day. I couldn't ask for anything more. This trip, and being with my family make it all worth it. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there including my own Jack, Jodi's dad Al, and stepfather ...

We got up late after a fitful sleep! Headed off to the Nasa Space Center. Amazing history of space travel and lots of fun things for the kids. A real live space shuttle on site, gives perspective on its immense size and the how astronauts can make there way to space. Precision is a must! What a great day! Off to bed as we pack for a vacation on our vacation...Gatlinburg, Tennessee (borders the Great Smoky Mountains National Park), here we ...

    ... and very quiet.

Speed limits a bit confusing, my Satnav said 70mph and everyone seems to be doing that, but the signs said 55mph.
As usual all the signs had minimum speed limits too.

Got to Fort Payne and it was shut!!! Followed some Trail of Tears signs to a Cherokee Chief's home, called the Andrew Ross house. The house is now privately owned, although photographs of the outside are encouraged.
There is more to this story, as I may get to ...

... enter them and take a tour. We also took a trip into Guntersville to get supplies at Walmart, that wonderful, awful store. It was amusing to see that the folks in this town take their "Duck Dynasty" culture seriously. I have never seen so much camoflage in my life on non hunters. We are talking about mom, pop and baby dressed in spots.

Bart's day was a bit busier than mine. Diesel Don arrived bright and early as predicted and they both went to work ...
