Okay so you can't go by Plymouth without stopping in to see where the first people stepped when arriving in the US off the Mayflower. Took some pictures of the replica of the Mayflower and also the Plymouth Rock Memorial... don't know if this was the actual rock or not but I touched it virtually in my pictures. ... digesting. Of course, this meant that we left for our run during the hottest part of the day. Today was the only time we ran out and back to where we started. We were running to the end of the Cape Cod Rail Trail in Dennis and back to the B&B.

... which has resulted in a lot of great renovations. Cape Cod has a number of cute small towns well worth visiting -- Chatham has a number of galleries and as does Wellfleet.

We actually walked the mile across the rock causeway to the seaside and again swam in the Atlantic Ocean - incredibly it was quite warm, especially compared to Kennebunkport, so we summised this must have been due to the Gulf Stream coming up the coast before heading towards Europe.
