      liking. Also, getting chased out of Chapleau by a bear was just bad
      planning; but I will return again. A kevlar canoe is now on my
      wishlist since we would most likely have had more water adventures
      with something that is easier to launch.
      The best places to return are: Quetico
      PP, Missinaibi PP and Chapleau Crown ...

      ... rest area where we had lunch. I'm amazed at how little topsoil they have here. Two feet at the most so it is definitely not farmland. This became apparent when we saw them stripping soil off areas where they were improving the highway. We also saw our first groups of Amish settlers.       Woke from a fitful sleep by Michael wanting to get up and go have our breakfast on the dining car- first come, first served. It was a lovely bright card that had glass divisors up of etched birds. The menu included three entrees and coffee and juice of various kinds.
