Not looking forward to returning to the snow we heard about this morning. Being in Alabama is like being in summer. The people are friendly and the countryside is beautiful.

The traffic was waiting for me as I neared Birmingham. Even on a Saturday, getting through B and staying on I 22 was a bit of a challenge, and the roads were fairly bumpy. AL becomes more hilly as I head East, crossing numerous rivers and through Taladega National ...

... music. It is a city built on swamp and lowlands, its easy to see why hurricanes devastated the city. Many of the highways in and out of the city are raised on poles for miles which would be costly and even the old graves are above the ground in tombs because the ground was too low lying.

We said our goodbyes to Adam as he headed off to Canada and now we are on our way West to Colorado for some more outdoor fun!

Hope everyone is well.
