Gas cost $53.30 when arriving in Rawlins. Buddy and I had a fun day visiting the Carbon Country Museum and then going to Memory Lanes. We had a friendly competition of bowling in which I won in every round. We had French fries and soda ($4.71) during this time. The ...

... on our sky. We had intermittent thunder, lightening and rain all night. Not only this, but for the first time since the opening two nights in Canada, it was too hot to even sleep in our sleeping bags. Consequently neither of us slept much and we both woke tired. The ride should have been a long but only moderately tough day. After all, we were following the same road - the 2317 - for almost the whole day. Unfortunately, in order to stay on the 2317 you had to turn right after 21 ...

For half the day, Buddy and I walked around the small town visiting small stores and places of interest. ...

... ranch. We reminded ourselves we were glad we weren't traveling in a covered wagon. We finally got to a town, everyone was starving. No Walmart so we found a supermarket and got chicken and salads and mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. We found a really nice park and ate there. The children played and we had to drag them out! It felt good to play. We decided to stay in the area instead ...

... Not to disappoint on this trip. Raining buckets. OK back to the positive..Wyoming has a lot of railways. The trains running along here are very picturesque. I like them! There, how's that!

Uh oh for the day: Microwave wouldn't work when it came time to make Honey a scrumptious Chicken Fettuccine WW dinner. Plan B, garden fresh tomato sandwich (thanks Jaimie) with a side of cottage cheese and avocado. Perfect! Uh oh turned into a yum yum!

      XOXO
