... but for southern Wyoming, sparse is a gross understatement. Along I-80, the towns are literally 100 miles apart - not the major towns, but the only towns. The highlight of the drive is crossing the Continental Divide - twice. The first time, it's cool: "hey I crossed the divide, now I'm draining into the Atlantic!" The second time a few dozen miles later, it's terribly confusing: "what?! did I get turned around? no, I've been ...

As with yesterday, we crossed no water source on the entire route today; We think we are a little dehydrated. ... have been nicer to have the tower a little closer to the yard area, but I assume security concerns won out on that decision.

As we passed through Laramie, we did send a special hello to the University on behalf of Roxy. So far, no word back.

Not a lot else going on. Hope to be into Utah tomorrow, maybe even Idaho.

So maybe there'll be more then.

... I even spotted a lone white bellied buck grazing just off the highway. Rawlins is fairly uninspiring and appears to be a mining centre. We checked in at the Holiday Inn and have a nice suite including two TVs . Dinner was at Cactus Jack's. I had a 16oz T- bone with hickory pit beans! I love to live dangerously! Now I'm reclining on bed sipping my hot air balloon champagne in a plastic cup and thoroughly enjoying ...
