Our table at Riva was well located, back from the windows enough to avoid the chill from the glass yet with an excellent view of the fireworks launch pad. ... downpour, like only the Americans can do, lightning, the works. Fortunately we were in Starbucks at the time! So by this time shops were calling, and the hotel is really close to Chicago's main shopping area.
