... to see the swamp people down in the bayou but gave me thoughts of the movie Deliverance so we gave that idea a miss. Have become vertical and headed to the Pamplona Tapas Bar. Great food, olives charcuterie, escargot foie gras , mushrooms and a bottle of Rosè, that's just for starters..... Finishing with bean soup then Apple bread pudding and home made ice cream, brandy and sherry. As Monty Python said " just a little morsel more..." Horizontal again.... ...

... some RAIN.. We had been watching the clouds up ahead and hearing some static on the radio (AM of course), so when the raindrops started it was no surprise. Of course, it’s always nice to be in camp, set up BEFORE the rains come, but by the time we had checked in the showers were mostly sprinkles. Hannah was glad. She detests going pee in the rain.

... It was very pretty and the surroundings were serene. We left at 2.15 pm. It has been a busy day we arrived on Avery Island, at the Tabasco sauce factory at 2.55 pm. We went in and watched a 15 minute video on the history of the factory. It was something a family did for themselves in 1876 on Avery Island which is a salt mine and now 2.6 billion bottles a year is sold all over the world. We saw how it was made and were given 4 tiny sample bottles which were quaint. ...
