    ... through the trading post & I bought a leather bag for $36 & necklace for $8 (+ tax of course). It is a real trap as most things only have the base cost marked on them & then at the checkout the tax is added - in everything e.g. food, hotels, etc, etc).     After a pleasant stay in Springdale we headed east to Jacob Lake. We had tried to book a room at the Grand Canyon Lodge in November, but it was fully booked.
