Today was the day! We went to the Waves! Especially because you needed to win the lottery to go there it was so special to us. We drove on the 89 direction Kanab again. To get to the beginning of the trail, you take the turn off "House Rock Valley Road", a dirt road which is signposted but still easy to miss. Non-Travel Day

Our destination today was the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which took us south on US 89A and AZ 67 to the park entrance. Traveling over 89A was through a desert environment of sand and sagebrush but as we moved higher in elevation the shrubbery turned into Pinion Pine and Utah Juniper and eventually higher up into lush forests of Ponderosa Pine and Aspen. ...

... and pictures to be taken. Nearing sunset, we headed back to the campsite, and on the way the fun began. We saw a multitude of deer feeding on the grassland near the roadside, another group of deer running right next to the road, and even a family of bison crossing in front of us. A tiring but worthwhile day. 星期六早上 ;我們離開හ ...
