We get a laugh as we approach this restaurant and read the sign outside that proudly proclaims
":You can smell our pits for miles!". And of course it is true, we cold smell the delicious barbecue smell from a few miles away at the ghost town museum.

We climb up the stairs to our apartment behind a house in a residential neighborhood, and on the front porch is a table with a small chalkboard with the message written, "Welcome, Beth." ...Nice touch! ... and sat. We saw people in the distance that had climb way to the top. WOW. That would have been quite an accomplishment! We watched as parents carried sleds for the kids to sled down the dunes. People rolled on their sides down the dunes and were covered head to toe in sand, others ran down the dunes kicking sand up behind them. Defeated and tired, we made the most of it.
