... Lantau Island is very mountainous and sparsely populated it is only a great place to get away from the crowds if you don’t do the cable car trip like we did or visit ‘Disneyland’ or the International Airport. We were not there on a busy day but we still had a lengthy queue wait.

... fairy across to Tsim Sha Tsui.....all the usual stuff. It was kind of boring being on my own but how often do you get to say, "I felt like noodles, so I popped over to Hong Kong for a little brekkie.""?

I will be boarding my 5 hour flight to Chennai in a few hours. The hotel is going to send a driver to pick me up. It will be nice to sleep in a bed for a few hours.

Arrived in Hong Kong. It was an easy flight full of movies. Once we disembarked Mim's name was printed on a wallboard. What's going on? Does she have outstanding warrants here? Did the cat jump in the suitcase? We are lining up at transfers.... ...

... pretty tired of rice after a month and a half in Asia, but there was no lack of that in Hong Kong! We also found this cookie store which we had never heard of before (but now we've found out it's really famous and widespread) called Mrs. Fields Cookies and they have the best cookies in the world! We went there at least 4 times and bought a pack of like 6 cookies each... Guess we're going to have to start exercising a little when we get home.

We did not want to miss having a typical Chinese meal and so the next day we went to One Dim Sum, a small restaurant that had a long waiting line outside the door. The dishes were delicious and it happens that the owner, a local, had studied in Luzern, Switzerland. The world is small.
