Due to our arrival at the other train station in Nanjing, we had to dash across town to try and make our last subway, which we missed! ... hotel. The Pan Pacific. It is huge - 450 rooms, and set in the most fantastic gardens. There was a lovely outdoor pool and after we'd had an after dinner stroll, watching people dancing and doing tai chi in the parks we all enjoyed a very welcome swim. Again, so much packed into the day. It was a long day, remembering that we got our wake up call at 5 am, we were still swimming at 10:30. A long but wonderful day.
