I probably looked like I had a neck deformity because I always had my head down to weave through gobs of spit and snot on the sidewalk/street.
Changsha was a step up from Hengyang in terms of how much it had going on, but it's not exactly somewhere I would want to go back to visit again. That's the truth of it.
... me to a concert last weekend and bought me a Minnie Mouse bow that lights up and flashes red and blue. I wore that around Martyr's Park while drinking baijiu with orange and strawberry juice and watching people dance.
A little baby was really interested in my light up bow, so I gave it to him and now I don't have it anymore. This is the last existing photo of my Minnie bow.
... and had a mango popsicle for my reward. The haze was bad today and it was really hot, so the mango popsicle was extra delicious and there weren't any really nice views at the top. I tried to get some nice photos, but it didn't really work out.
Friday night is Diner's Club night, so after going home and showering, we had our second meeting. We had six people already, so I think that's a good sign for the upcoming weeks!
... contact, Sofia, saying it was that evening. (typical.) We were supposed to prepare some kind of talent - singing or dancing. We didn't as we all had a lot of lessons that day and had no idea what to prepare!
So when we arrived, the assembly was held in the school gym and was packed with hundreds of teachers, parents, and students. Zhuzhou Nanfang is a school that is, as far as I gather, in partnership with seven other schools, also foreign language schools like ...
... another adult in the classroom but I wouldn't cope without her as about half to 3/4 of the lesson needs to be translated. The kids are very curious about me and seemed to enjoy the lesson, though I felt personally it was a bit lacking (though perhaps I just need to build confidence.) With 6 classes tomorrow I feel the need to tweak it a bit in order to get things to run more smoothly.
That being said - I'm off to sleep in my (mercifully comfy) bed!
