I could swear that last night I heard Rosa say that we were meeting the boys and Henry at quarter to seven not quarter past seven, however I was wrong. So I had no need to rush to get showered and ready and no need to wonder why she was taking so long and suggesting we go for breakfast! We had lots of time and were prompt for Henry (a lovely Chinese guy who was showing us to class). He took us to our first class as we had not been to the uni buildings on the ...

... got out of bed. However they then set off at 11.05 and we missed them. Luckily though Aimee was just arriving back from breakfast and Ruaridh was ready to go for some too so off we went together, Aimee showing us to the canteen. We made a plan to go see the Nanjing City wall and set off for the metro, stopping to collect Hamza and our rain jackets as there was a light smir in the air. ... session. The Centre Principals run their centres on their
own without deputies or a team of senior management as they would have
in the UK, and the model is very unusual as they are situated in the
host Chinese School which is run by the Chinese Principal and his
Deputies. The Chinese host school is very much in control and can be
very frustrating for our CPs as they do not issue yearly calendars as we

Today we had another day of exploring with the Shephards. After Lochie's footy (soccer) practice and lunch, we picked up Caroline, Lucas and Oliver and headed to Zheng He’s Treasure Shipyard. A Chinese treasure ship was a type of large wooden ship in the fleet of admiral Zheng He, who led 7 voyages during the early 15th century. Through the grounds we explored gardens, statues, waterways, a replica ship (HUGE!) and a working temple. As you can ...
