... about 10 mins to the main Dongsi avenue and found a restaurant which is obviously a hit with locals. They were all enjoying their Saturday lunches (large portions) with their own bottles of drink which they all seemed to bring with them. If we can find this standard of food all along they way we will certainly gain some weight!

We went to the Forbidden City on bikes (this was inaccessible to the public for 500 years and it’s the largest and best reserved cluster of ancient buildings in China and was home to two emperor dynasties the Ming and Qing’s) which again was vast – we enjoyed the gardens the most.

Hiring bikes was awesome in Beijing if not totally carnage, you have no clue how the traffic rules work and end ...
