After 14 hours of playing games, drinking, watching movies and eating we manage to stay awake during the whole flight. We make it all the way through the customs rigmarole only to be called over at the 2nd last checkpoint and Rich is whisked off to a questioning area and I wasn't allowed to go in with him. He was quizzed about being a 1 percenter! …

Off straight to Hollywood to soak up the post Oscars buzz, walk of fame and celebrity life. Decided to walk to the Hollywood sign which ended up being a 4hr there and back hike but gave us awesome views of LA, the sign & snow-capped mountains in the background. Soaked up more of the Oscars at the Dolby Theatre, walked the red carpet and saw …

We left Tokyo at 6.30pm on Sat 1st and due to the weird nature of world clocks arrived in LA at 08.30pm on the 1st after around 16hrs of travel. We were based in Downtown LA and took no time heading out and visiting all of the sites via the good old walk everywhere we could get to. The weather threw up a few curveballs as it …

      Silly
as it may seem, there seems to be little time to sit down and write a
journal about the trip. We are only one week out and it already
seems like “just a day in the life of” We see flying fish
everyday, yesterday we saw birds, tomorrow we cross the international
date line and loose a day sometime between 00:01AM and 3:00AM, we
pick up the rest of that day on the way back.

      I will
