So the kids arrived yesterday...eek! It's been hectic but so much fun! We only have 5 kids in our cabin this week, and they all seem to be getting on fine, making new friends and getting on with their activities. One of them even asked me for a ukelele lesson this morning and got his first stripe (their achievement levels, like a grade exam...I felt like a proud parent!). ... we were surprised to see that more cruise ships were anchored here. We passed them (at a distance) and watched the starwars-like transport boats ferry people back and forth from town. Neat. By the time we reached the other side of the island again, the tide was going out and the sand bar between Bar Harbor and Bar Island was becoming slightly visible. ... part of that by renting out our trailer. When we take it out on the road for our 2 to 4 week land cruises in the winter and spring, the renter can stay in our villa. Just kidding, but we will be looking for someone to care for Benny and Buzz for about 5 weeks while we are gone, and the villa will be available.
