... that, too bad she's on a plane to the U.S. Anyway long story short, I've sorted it but it's cost me a fortune. Tomorrow night I will be in McKinleyville not Medford, for those of you playing at home. Anywho back to SF. Today I set out on foot and I definitely got a much better feel for the city. ... did change for them. We walked around the cell block wearing head phones, being given a really informative and fascinating tour. An absorbing afternoon. And again so different for us. ... bay and river conditions. It was built in 1957 and remained an active research tool of the US Army Engineering Corp until 2000. It is the size of two football fields and can assess impacts such as diverting water and dredging navigation tools. Nerdy, but really impressive. (Lyndsie I can hear you teasing me as I type this).

We ended the day trip with a drive to the Muir Woods state park a bit further north. Driving to and around the ...

... After visiting the public library and Capitol Hill for dinner we went back to campus for the last night at the UW dorms. And now I'm here, on the plane, landing in less than half an hour in San Francisco! Ooooooooh yeah! Errata from the ground: I was wrong! I do have SF impressions already! I just saw the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz from the air! Oh my.. I guess I really am in San Francisco! Yiiiiihaaaaaaaaa ...
