We walked to the beach it was wonderful only a few blocks away, the neighborhood looks much more tropical palm trees you can tell we are getting further South. I was given directions but Bryan's built in compass took us on a alternate route and walla there was the sign to beach :-)

The beach had less surf but lots of fun waves to play in so I was thrilled. The locals here drive their 4 wheel drives right onto the beach ...

... They like being home for the holidays.

What did I Learn:

  • Campgrounds can really have totally different feels, energy to them. All depends on the people running them. Just like any company huh??
  • I wish I had stayed pool side rather than going to the beach, the one day I had for sunning. Oh well, it is always good to be at the beach, but not in the wind and chill.
  • Ice cream cures all.

... off quickly. The kitchen brought back memories for Peter of his merchant navy days, especially when he saw the potato peeling machine! Went to a nice restaurant for dinner, I had flounder Francais (not quite sole meunière but good) Peter had osso buco which he didn't seem to like too much then stopped at the little bar across from the hotel for a beer, seemed like it was a neat place - should have gone here ...

Celebrated Gmama's 90 years on this earth on 07/22. Pretty flippin cool. Dillon Maurerpower hung around for the festivities and some single-man soap operas and pipe organ jim jams. Prechter, Haley, Caitlin and Bennette all came down to camp out on Friday and bring some music to the Surf City Campground. Oh, and Blue... A ~60 years old wanderer who should now be in Florence sailing to the Mediterranean was a friendly campground resident (?) He "encouraged" us all to keep ...
