Day 4 started with phone alarm at 6 am, veggie mite on toast and good brew started the day that was reminiscent of chilly uk. Packed up and ready to go for 7.30am the long drive approx 4 hours awaits. iPod playlists with southern feel, van games, snoring and excitement grace us on the road down to Louisville for baseball game. We stopped for lunch around 12pm at place called Devou in Kentucky, the view can only be describe ...

They produce bats for all major league and minor league players. Love how diverse and different this tour is ...

We met a lovely couple, Vicki and Jeff from Columbia, Kentucky. They are Long Horn Cattle Farmers and the salt of the earth! After a Long chat at breakfast ...

... This morning's ride was slowed by milder versions of the same stuff. With everything soaked I opted for a hotel for tonight for rest and to dry out. Two days ago I was paused outside of Owensboro KY when a passing driver invited me for dinner with his family. He is a runner with curiosity about touring. I was treated to a very nice dinner of venison/ turkey meat loaf, kale chips and ...

    ... the
    houses are gorgeous.

After picking John up at the airport and checking-in to our
motel we went for a walk downtown. John really wanted to walk across the
recently-opened Big-Four pedestrian/Cycling Bridge across the Ohio River to
Jeffersonville, Indiana. The old railroad bridge dates from 1895 and operated
until 1969, essentially abandoned until recently being converted into the
