... I forgot that it was Sunday and that there would be football on the radio - so Jonathan had football on the brain and was driving me mad tuning in to different stations. Unfortunately, we'd keep driving out of range, as soon as he'd tune in, so it was a constant job to find the same channel. And is really annoying :-) Arriving later than planned, we got to Roger and Carol' s and it was ...

... by the "Sugar Shack" - it's a little shed that has a wood burner and a giant pan I guess where the maple sap is heated to make homemade maple syrup. The tree has a hole drilled into it and then a tube called a spile lets the sap drip out and it's collected. I have never been a fan of maple syrup (Jonathan has made me pancakes with maple syrup before), but Aunt Carol gave me a little sample with a spoon and I could ...

... as I can. My butt is airborne a few seconds, and then, “OUCH!” my butt slams down ******* the horses backbone. Once, twice, three times the horse bucks, and then BAM! I’m on the ground.

“Ha ha ha,” I hear Nancy and Linda chime in unison in the distance.

“This horse isn’t going to keep me off!” I insist. For the next half hour, I continue trying to catch up ...
