... sleepy town of Wellfleet just about lunchtime. One of the first rules of dining while traveling that I learned was to look for the restaurant with the most cars parked in the lot. The Bookstore Restaurant seemed to be the ticket. We circled the place twice and confirmed that in fact, there was a bookstore in the back. I remember to take a few pictures of the Nantucket streets and homes which are typical of the downtown area. One thing we begin to notice. Sometimes the homes are painted only on the front side that faces the public streets. The rest remains weathered, unpainted wood.

In addition to the open bar, there is also an open raw bar. We enjoyed many of the fresh, delicious raw oysters offered. Unfortunately, I did not obtain their region of origin. The full dinner was great, the music was fantastic and the dancing was fun for me to watch and videotape.
