Last night in St Augustine we all dressed up in cammo (or most of us lol) and headed to Hungry Howie's, an all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad place. The food was pretty good for an all you can eat place too. Then it was onto the bar, where we hung out for a bit. Afterwards, I headed to the pool with Lizzy, Sabrina, Mel and Ashley for a nice …
Hello from Savannah Georgia! Tonight is our second night in Savannah so this is the wrap up of the past two days in a seriously beautiful town.
Yesterday we left Atlanta and headed south-east Savannah. Apart from a mid way stop at a random trucker servo it was a pretty dull morning. Once we hit Savannah Josh and I tried out Five Guys …
Savannah was our entry to Georgia, a wealthy town in the days of slavery & the cotton trade, adorned by many old plantation mansions, food was great & people were friendly. We had a karaoke night that went off, old school inspired rendition of total eclipse of the heart duet was a highlight.. Parts of Forrest gump were also filmed there...
Today we stopped in Jacksonville, Florida before heading into Savannah, Georgia. Saavannah was a really pretty town with heaps of public squares including the one where they filmed the bench …

The Inn has a pefect location right on Bay Street just off the river. Prime location to head out for dinner, out for a beer, some fast food or a wander around the historic district.
Rooms are well appointed with the most pillows \ cushions Ive seen per bed. Coffee maker, ice and drink machine near the lift. BRILLIANT shower head (probably the best shower Ive had in weeks) in a general sized bathroom.
Staff are all friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The happy hour at the small bar seems to be a winner, with lots of hotel guests taking advantage of the specials and great service. Iced water next to the bar in the lobby area greatly appreciated.
My only slight gripe would be the average breakfast. Most things seem to be brought in from other places and there wasn't much selection. But thats only nitpicking. didn't even notice the construction.
A beautiful hotel in a beautiful town!
