... new stand with newspaper and three different kinds of gun magazines and lots of Jesus tshirts. There are also well-marked snowmobile trails, complete with their own red octagonal mini-stop signs. Little to no cell phone service up here, but should be crossing into Wisconsin soon. Couldn't ask for better traveling companions! Girls are doing great. We are watching/listening to season 1 of Muppet show. Off we go again! Hope to be in Baudette ...

The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, but by time we finished, it had a waiting line--and they are so new . . . they do not have their license to serve alcoholic beverages . . . nor is there elevator (they are on the second story of an old building) been inspected for ...

We took advantage of some of the offerings at the BW deluxe breakfast. Then, we checked out and headed downtown to view some of the sights, particularly the "Soo Locks" and some of the shops. At mid-morning, the area was not real busy and parking was easy to find. We looked in some of the shops , and lucky for us, a ship was moving through the lock closed to the park and viewing stand! It was headed downstream so it was pretty low in the lock.
