Wish I’d continued a little further yesterday to Nancy Green Pr Pk. It’s small but a gorgeous spot and excellent trails along both sides of the lake. Oh well, next time ...

Drove as far as Grand Forks just to see the place, but went back to Christina Lake to spend the night. Enjoyed a delicious Lemon Pie Ice Cream cone before cleaning up the van for the border crossing tomorrow. Wouldn't want to have any uncooked potatoes or carrots, you know!!!

... earlier lakes that appeared to have lots of algae in them. One sign that I managed to glimpse on the other side of the road labeled this area The Grass Empire. I would love to have had the opportunity to read the rest of the sign, but there was no warning, and we were on the opposite side of the road. We did wonder whether cattle and/or sheep were being grazed higher in the ...

... Like other mountain towns, there are few year round inhabitants but shows signs of being a popular destination in the summertime. Sunday store closures and cool weather didn't make walking too appealing so we stopped at a delightful little shop Deadwood Junction and had fun perusing the wares and sampling their very limited lunch menu - which proved to be quite tasty!
