... the Cat up the hill. It was a bumpy ride and it was good to experience what cat skiing would be like. We all pretty much quit early and went back in. Most the boys were already drunk from hitting the bar again! Twisty bought $400 worth of alcohol for a big party bus on the way home. Lots of drinking and singing to songs lol. We made it home safely :) Allana's friend Amelia was at our place who arrived from Vancouver that day. She is spending the next 5 days with us. Lovely ...

... we were only a walk down 10 stairs to get to the party but the bad news was that our room was right above the party so it was a little loud at night, luckily we stayed there mid week!

The dining options are quite scarce in Rossland however we did find the place probably classed as the best in town across the road called Idgies. The food there was amazing and portions were massive.

Rossland is only a few km's from the mountain so car ...

... br> Alternative construction was his thing and he had been building for 8 years on the property that we visited. There were three houses (one finished) and a lodge which he hopes will someday be a bed and breakfast. All of the building used straw in some way. The three houses did not have footings, posts were placed on concrete slabs and built up from there. The buildings were very unique and we gain a lot of valuable experience by working with him on his house. ...

... June, the fields were green and filled with wildflowers. Now those fields have been mowed and baled—either in big rectangular bales or big round ones. The stubble is now either a yellow brown or a slightly green tint, depending upon the amount of water available. It sure wasn’t as pretty as it was in June, and it was certainly warmer.

... all ripe and we still have a couple of days travelling we don't get too much. We decide that Osoyoos is a good place to eat something - it will be a late lunch or early supper - we stop at Dairy Queen. A few more stops for some photos and we are off for Greenwood. It is 4:00 p.m.

More harrowing roads and then an hour or so later Greenwood. It is a tiny little place. We find our motel at the far end of town. Heidi checks us in. ...
