Following these last five days, I’ve now completed my first
week of teaching. More overwhelming than I originally thought, I’ve still yet
to settle down into my classes. I realize being thrown into the fire is
the worst, but once the sizzle fades, I for one am more than eager to finally stand

What is more, late one night, whilst strolling through these new streets, led by curiosity alone, we, my roommates and I, stumbled upon a bustling little alley solely dedicated to BBQ. There, shop to shop, are nothing but BBQ stations lined up shoulder to shoulder. Finally made it to China with some adventures along the way. Plane ride wasn't easy but met some people to share our burden. Had to immediately use the bathroom once we landed and was at once introduced to the eastern toilet. Simply a hole in the ground. Instructions not given.

... On Fri I didn't have to be at school until the evening, so we went in and had a look round the Chen Clan Academy which really impressed me on my first visit. There was a man doing traditional style painting on special paper, and he was keen for us to have a go, using all his English words to tell us so! He was very friendly, and when we declined his offer he gave us some of the special paper anyway.
