This morning we took our time loading up the rest of our things in the RV, even took a short bike ride to clear our heads a bit. Headed out around 2pm, stopped at Cabela's and Lowes and then arrived at Twin Grove in time to build the campfire and settle into our new normal on the road. Outside of the pictures I've taken, there doesn't appear to be much left of Centralia. The Doyle Motel is a legendary dive bar on the trail and I had to visit it, or so I was told by multiple people, but I had heard from just as many others or more that the rooms was dingy, dirty and in disrepair, definitely not a pleasant stay. So I passed on that, and I walked through town to a campsite listed in my guidebook that was supposed to have tenting for $5. ...

... guides were in kayaks leading, following and mixing with the rafts to help as needed.

It was a great trip - a three hour drive from home to the Whitewater Adventure Center, 13 miles on the river, and 3 more hours on the road home. .....I was dead! ......but thanks to sunscreen, not too burnt :)
