    ... I learn one of the most expensive, Diesel gas stations in the area. How many gallons went into the tank and how large is the tank? Man, that was close!

    ... cliffs as we rode through the pass right along the edge of the Crooked River. As it turned out there was no accommodation at Prineville so we about faced and went back to Redmond and grabbed the last 6 rooms at the Super 8. We will complete the scenic option giver to us in Bend tomorrow when we strike out for Boise, that means another border crossing as we head into Idaho.

    ... found one as the fuel gage hit empty at Rock Creek. We followed the GPS but it wasn't quite taking us where we wanted to go through so we had a quick turn around so we wouldn't head to far inland, and end up in Idaho where it was leading us.     ... We went to a country fair in the afternoon but again it was a bit hot to really enjoy as there wasn't much shade. It was nice to see the families out enjoying themselves though.
