    We enter the crowded town fueled by fumes and with low expectations that we can easily pull our 54 feet of rolling stock into a downtown gas station. Casey spots a Middle School shuttered for the summer and urges me to drop the RV in their parking lot. This will allow me to easily meander the streets in town and find some fuel. Brilliant!     ... cliffs as we rode through the pass right along the edge of the Crooked River. As it turned out there was no accommodation at Prineville so we about faced and went back to Redmond and grabbed the last 6 rooms at the Super 8. We will complete the scenic option giver to us in Bend tomorrow when we strike out for Boise, that means another border crossing as we head into Idaho.

    Monday 14th, April 5.30 wake up, I didn't sleep much because of the excitement. We had a quick getaway because all our gear was packed. We stopped in at Jess' to put her board bag in and we were off. A photo stop at the big white sign of course and on the road we went. No destination planned for the first night, but to drive as far as possible in daylight. We were unable to fuel up at big white so we were a bit nervous awaiting the next gas ...

    ... We went to a country fair in the afternoon but again it was a bit hot to really enjoy as there wasn't much shade. It was nice to see the families out enjoying themselves though.
