Dallas to Vegas (25/06) Drove to the airport navigating the 27 or so lanes of traffic that constitute a small road in Dallas. Dropped off the car (very efficient) and waited for our flight. ... comedy and magic, and they had no prior knowledge of him - but they really loved his show too. After the show, we went through the hotel next door - the Quad - to get to the big wheel. The ride on that was great as well, and the gondolas are quite big and can hold a fair few people. We had about 14 on board, so plenty of room to move about and take photos - all good and we were glad we went on that one. It's apparently the biggest wheel in the ...

... to go over to Death Valley Nat'l Park, but it was so hot that we passed on this detour. Driving through the town of Pahrump we were surprised at the size of the town, looking at the map I anticipated a one light town, but in reality it is a large thriving bedroom community out in the desert. Approaching Vas Vegas we turned north again on NV Rt. 159, the "Red Rock Canyon Scenic Byway" and later a short 13 mile drive through the BLM Red Rock Canyon National Conservation ...
