    ... fried pickles--surprisingly they are not nearly as disgusting as they sound. I ate them all.

    So we marked another year of marriage with another drive-in, another minor league ballpark, and the continuation of a geocache-a-day streak, all despite the perfidious rain. We will have to come back at the end of September to try again for the ATV ride, but all in all, it was a good trip.

    Today we cycled into Blacksburg via Radford VA. Route 654 , the old Baltimore road was serene and a wonderful early morning view of this part of Virginia. We rode into Newbern and were engaged with the early history of this tiny mountaintop village...the homes dated to the early 19th century. Our life is not easy so we had to continue on busy roads for the remaining 15 miles.....life is tough...: ...

    13. In CR, you say "con gusto" for "you're welcome" or "nice to meet you" and you say "perdon" for I'm sorry. A bit different from what I learned in college.

    14. Always make sure the taxi's you take have a yellow triangle with numbers in the middle. "Scam taxi's" are unfortunately a reality.

    15. It's 5 o'clock in Costa Rica- 24/7. Pura Vida!

    ... Anthony described the various tests they run on all their cable products. Crush, heat and cold stress test, twist and bend radius, strain/pull and colour tests to name a few.
