Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

... After the tour we looked at the space artefacts and watched a few movies/documentaries. There isn't as much to see and do at the center compared to Kennedy so we left at about 3pm a little disappointed (spoiled perhaps at going to Kennedy first). For dinner we got some Chinese food and called it a night. The Chinese good wasn't that good - Sam had Mongolian Chicken (lots of onion) and I had sweet and sour pork (too sweet, or not enough sour ...

Another drive today, this time to Seabrook which is 20 minutes south of Houston. It was a 4 hour drive and we were surprised by the amount of greenery and trees around during the drive. We expected more sparse areas, desert and brown. The drive took us right through Houston, and it got a little hairy driving through it because of some crazy drivers. Fortunately ...

... heat again compared to the other two cities in Texas. The rain had cooled the air but not enough! The pool was lovely, we got there in time for the sun to come between the buildings, the pool was green which was a little strange but we jumped in anyways and it was freezing! the jacuzzi was boiling though! We stayed there till around 8 and then went and got some food and beer and stayed in our suite all night and chilled, it was really nice not to go out and just relax in the apartment. ...

... fries, fried donuts, fried... Matt went for his favourite - pizza - but the rest of us had the chicken and/or beef kebabs. I did describe these on my previous rodeo carnival blog - but they are a meal in themselves - with zucchini, green peppers and onion between the succulent beef/chicken! We also had some sort of potato fries - however they were long and stringy, like spaghetti all clumped together and oily - sounds gross but we managed to consume the ...
