... the series.

We then went back to the hotel for a buffet dinner and told everyone of our fascinating story!

There were two locations which we missed - Saul Goodman's office and Los Pollos chicken restaurant - purely because of distance and time restraints but it was definitely worth seeing some Breaking Bad locations.

We only had the one night in Albuquerque and we left pretty early the next morning for Amarillo in Texas.

... back down Mo ran into a man who said his ancestor was a Native Indian and actually drew one of the symbols. He told us about how the Rinconda route was the area of remants due to a volcanic eruption 200,000 years ago.

  • He gave Mo and I matching necklaces with a wolf on it saying it symbolizes free will and toughness. He also explained how we are sisters it represented unity since a pack of wolves move together and leaves nobody behind.

... knew that! ABQ is not as pristine or quaint as Santa Fe, but a great city, buzzing with 19000 students at the University and a lot of atmosphere and buzz. We liked it very much.
A quiet afternoon ensued, sometimes you have to take time out and read, write a few postcards and do the washing. We wandered around the shops in the Old Town and just relaxed. We have a long day of driving ahead tomorrow to Holbrook, Arizona and into the next ...

... the stuff. The thing about route 66 is that it travels through some of Albuquerque's nicer areas.....as well as some of it's seedier areas. I decide I'm going to shoot one of the neon signs, and we pull into a parking lot. There are people coming out of the motel towards us, hookers start coming out of doorways, and people on the street start our way. Yeah....I'm armed as always, but we just don't need this ****. I don't even get the cameras ...

... it was just one straight road, no little twists or turns.
Finally we arrived in Roswell and it wasn't how I pictured it, I thought it might just be a little farming village or something, couldn't have been more wrong, everything on the way through there though was UFO stuff, alien head lamp posts, Alien figures standing outside McDonalds. Mental.
