After Davis' capture, he was imprisoned for 2 years without trial. While he was imprisoned, his citizenship was revoked for 111 years, until in 1978 when President Jimmy Carter re-instated it.
Davis retired to Biloxi, Mississippi where he wrote him memoirs. He died on December 6, 1889 in New Orleans. He was interred at the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA.

So we were excited to come back and see Tifton. We stayed at the KOA in Tifton. They have a lot more gnats now than I remember. Also, the town has grown into a megalopolis. Ah, the wheels of progress.

We are on the last legs of or are 2011 summer trip. We are running a day behind because we had trouble with the slide out again that required us to stay another night in Chattanooga. We will be taking the motor home in on Friday of this week to get the slide fixed, hope thy fix it in time for a trip to the Keys next month.
Think it is time to look for a new one.
