... drive of the day would be another 60 or so miles on two-lane road from Limon to Colorado Springs for our stay at Hampton Inn for one night. The clouds were, well, heavenly, that's all you can say, and we enjoyed passing ranches and seeing all of the cows and horses. Arriving at our Hampton in at 9:27, we tucked in for the evening. Josie won the ETA contest with 9:27 on the money.

What a great start to my day. After seeing the quality of the gym Dave got up with me at 5.30am and joined me for an early morning workout. It was an awesome workout followed by a swim in the indoor pool, then one lap in the outdoor lap pool (I had to try it) and finally some relaxing in the warm spa. Just fantastic. We topped it off with a delicious buffet breakfast. Of course this negated my morning workout.

We could see the city of Estes Park, Estes Lake, and Longs Peak which is the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. There were two tours available: the Discovery Tour and the Lantern Tour. We chose the Discovery Tour since the wait would be less. The Lantern Tour is a much spookier experience since the only light source is a candle lantern that each person carries. Tymber and I both wanted to the do the ...
