... focus with our bags we headed across the big bridge to Coronado island for a squiz. It was a very Californian with all it's palm tree lined streets, beach style houses, people in their swimming costumes riding the low riders to the beach. ... take around 10mins cooking time, might as well enjoy it! There was a large selection of flavoured salt rubs to chose from if you wished. We were also given some garlic bread to grill and enjoy while we were waiting. We followed the time guidelines for our cuts of beef and they were perfect, even if we do say so ourselves!! ... it was closed and the woman in the shop informed us the owner sometimes opens at 2, sometimes 3, sometimes not at all, whatever he feels like! On the way back got chatting to an old man who gave us a tip for a little blues bar tonight and a Mexican restaurant. Spent an hour or so by the roof top pool drinking our complementary cocktail. ... Four hours and many steps later, we departed for Lake Dixon, a lovely city campground next to a reservoir above town. Our campsite had a nice view of the city, we settled in for a relaxing afternoon prior to going to Keely and Joe’s for dinner.

After saying goodbye to everyone leaving for home on Saturday morning, it was time for me to go to San Diego for three nights. My flight was at 1.10pm with Southwest airlines so I got the hotel shuttle at 10.30am.
