Another drive today, this time to Seabrook which is 20 minutes south of Houston. It was a 4 hour drive and we were surprised by the amount of greenery and trees around during the drive. ... a pair of very short 80s style shorts in the pattern of an American flag. The reason this is so funny, it's because Rick Allen has been wearing the same pair of 80s style Union Jack shorts for 30 years. Now imagine seeing myself standing next to my camera and the only thing you can really see is my bright white legs and these blaring 80s style American flag shorts, he was dying laughing. It was beautiful that I made an impact in Rick Allen's life.

... Thanks to Dad for a memorable last meal together.
Wednesday was a bits and pieces day, Mum needed a few things from the shops, Dad to the bank, so we just took things pretty slowly. In the evening we picked up Mum from the hotel for bible class, said our goodbyes to Dad and headed to West Houston for the class.
Thus ended our whirlwind week with Mum and Dad - a great time had by all and it was fantastic to share our 'life' here with them.

Day 8 - Heading home

... inside the terminal doors and stood in a fast moving line, showed our passports and paid the $58 total, and got our exit receipts and headed for the United ticket counter.  Getting away from the crowd, there was a little table where we stopped and fill out the exit receipt, and then into the surprisingly short line for United.  They checked our passports and exit receipt, and since we were checking no bags, it was off to the security ...
