The next train stop was Mickeys Toon Town. Where else would you want to start at Disneyland anyway? Mickey very kindly put on a show for us about 5 minutes after we arrived at Toon Town so we thought we should sit in ...

... a pre-automobile village. The kids fell in with some neighbourhood kids straight away and ran round the safe enclosed neighbourhood, and it was great spreading out in a big house.

Our hosts who were on holiday also let us use their car and over the next few days we explored Venice beach, Santa Monica Pier and aquarium, Hollywood, Beverly Hills (unfortunately the Beverly hillbillys house has a big hedge around it and you can’t see nothing !) so good to be back ...
