    Shopping ... unsuccessfully

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 08, 2015

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

    Underground caves and snake farm

... In the first caves there were no formations on the ceiling because the bats had left oils and dirt. The caves were awesome. Highlight of the second caves was when they turned out the lights for one minute and we were in total darkness. For dinner we went next door to Denny's then looked around the local Walmart. There are lots of black birds with cool eyes that make a real racket ...

... pro-rodeos! I loved it! Actually, everyone enjoyed it. It's worthwhile going to a decent one - even from the nosebleed section. They had all different events from bare-back bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, some activity where the cowboy rides a horse and has to catch the calf by lassoing around it's neck (not as violent as it sounds for you enviro's reading). They also had the same thing but in pairs - one cowboy lassos the head while the other does a back leg. There ...

    Where everything's bigger

... and sat around there. We made s'mores for the first time on the trip, I'm a fan. Marshmallows, chocolate and biscuits what more could you want. Some people set in for a big night but others just sat around quietly talking to the other group and asking about their trips and that. It was a good chance to see what exactly we were in for. I hit the hay much earlier than others but that was still only ...
