Spent forever in the greater Detroit area. Taking care of the new Lexus build for the 2008 NAIAS. Also helped out in our Detroit facility with Lexus, Nissan, and Infiniti production issues. Did catch a RedWings game when I was there. Spent some time with my buddy and work associate Simon at various bars and hangouts. Went home for X-mas.

I am officially on my way to New York City (currently over Michigan!) and the trip is going well so far. The seat next to me on the plane is open, which always a bonus, AND our travel agent gave me a little upgrade which never hurts J
I am going to try to keep this blog as updated as possible… I hope you enjoy it!

After a couple of hectig months we sold our house, filled the POD (container) with all belongings we wanted to keep. Sold, donated and gave away the rest. The POD is in indefinite storage in Michigan giving us time to follow our dreams for a while. First on the agenda is a visit to my sister Yolanda and husband Laron in Washington DC.
... me.
1 - The number of friends who left these shores. Apparently Powney has some copyright issues regarding the 'Richard Powney says' feature and has ended our friendship. If I was on facebook, I would cease to be one of his, 'more than 200'.
4 - The number of run-ins with police/customs officers ...

Waar men in Europa een "first come first serve" methode ...
I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.
This is one place, which had always intrigued me; right from my days in the middle school, where I was taught it was the motor capital of the world. The name came back into my life when Sach an Auto engineer and a close friend made base at this very beautiful, historical American city and coming to the United States and seeing the very many American cars on the roads made my zeal to see Detroit even more.
So here we were, landing and ...
... get more info. That will be on Saturday. So the next few days will be less riding for me. This is good because Sunday I come back to Ferndale and then head to Sturgis, SD. That will be another long ride. Update: Wayne sent me some photos of the diner and a few places in Ferndale. The bike with the cover on it is mine. I was in teh diner working on this blog entry when he took them.
Ferndale, Michigan, United States ridewithjoe... the first step of this long planned journey to the Dock of the Bay. There were a lot of times I did not believe that it would all work out .. but apprently it did. I am a negative minded person, kinda always expecting that it won`t work which meant for me that it was more of a shock realizing everything happens right now. It is hard to explain how I felt! I just remember thinking: Okay, you always wanted to stay in the U.S for a year and not as a lousy ...
