      ... bikes weaving between stopped and slow moving cars at 40-50 mph . . . . I can't believe there aren't frequent hideous accidents. The drivers were not as rude and angry as I expected. The worst part is that the traffic goes on seemingly forever and then opens up for a mile and then stops again. Probably took 2 hours to go 40 miles. I am grateful I don't have to drive that regularly.

      Next stop we see lots of birds and parrots at the San Diego bird rescue stand. The volunteers are walking around with the birds talking about them to the passers by. At the end of the walkway is a huge fountain with loads of children playing in it. Dylan runs over and starts taking his t shirt off.
