    I went to Korea?

I got an extra weekend off after I bought my ticket to go home to Canada. When I called the airline, they said it would cost me $500 to either change the day to go home, or I could go to Korea for the same price.

I missed Dave so I asked if he would help me pay for hotels if I did that. He said yeah, and that's how it went.

I visited old friends in Iksan as well, but didn't take any pictures. I did take a picture of the nice hotel in Gunsan I stayed at.

We finally managed to book our flights to Jeju before heading out with our walking gear on. It was a steamy 2km trek to the bus terminal, where we found that it was going to be a long wait for the next bus to Daedunsan National Park. ... have been here for much longer than any of the other things we've seen on our travels. To the Koreans, they are just normal parts of their day. I suppose they feel the same about the mountains as we do about Niagara Falls - seeing it all the time kind of makes it seem less majestic. But something tells us that after a year we won't tire of seeing the amazing scenery in this country.

    I'M ON A BASE!

After the hike, I went to Dave's place on the base. Check out that alliteration. It was kind of intense. At the gate, they take your ID and give you a visitor card. Then, you can stay there for 24 hours as long as you are accompanied by someone from the base.

It was a "hail and farewell" day, so a bunch of people were out ...
