    ... to see a sum total of sweet FA as the spring mist descended down the whole the coast and we had fantastic views of the rear ends of slow moving RVs. This time however we couldn't have asked for a better day, a light fog hugged the coastline and the traffic moved at the speed limit, although with Martina behind the wheel harnessing her inner psychotic European rally style driving, probably a fair bit quicker than that.

    ... dirty and there are plenty of homeless, 'street' people around going to different 'lengths' to get your attention and begging for money. The economics of this country have definitely left some people behind and it seems to be getting worse.

    Another big but enjoyable day. Left Monterey by 9:35. There were a lot of sand dunes as we drove out of the Monterey area. Dunes were on both sides of the highway and buildings were scattered amongst them. After we'd left Monterey we quickly hit rural farmland. There were signs all along the sides of the road advertising fresh produce eg. avocados 7 for $1, grapefruits 10 for $1. Miles and miles of farmland with the odd farmhouse, shed or roadside stall.     The trip to SFO is a good one. The girls each have a TV in the seat back in front of them so they watch movies and shows.

    Reminds me of the Visa commercials...
    Extra legroom in economy plus seating... $150
    Direct TV at your kids seats... $30
    4 hour flight with no complaints... PRICELESS!!!
