      ... center, a Gap and Forever 21 so figured we were on track. Just outside Gap was the end of the Cable Car rail, which traveled from the piers. They are pretty cool looking carts and they have to be manually turned around on a turntable at the end of the line. We will definitely have to get on one before we leave.

      I was keen to get up this morning and pack in as much of Monterey as I possibly could, before leaving for San Francisco. We were out and about by around 8.30 - 9.00 ish and the Main Street was very quiet...just waking up.       ... so steep. Unfortunately they were testing out a new scheme where they shut the road and only let pedestrians down it because the residents were complaining about the traffic. We were able to drive down the steepest road Filbert Street, I had the honours of driving it, it's so scary going over the top and not knowing what's over the other side of the drop.
