The tour was supposed to only go for three hours but we soon found that this was only the Alcatraz part so sine our day was already mega packed, we had to forfeit the city tour (which wasn't that bad as we had a fairly good tour on our way to the wineries the day before and had done some exploring ourselves).       Today we decided to start our hop on hop off bus tour with City Sightseeing. we soon realised that as much as San Francisco is a beautiful city and in the afternoons it felt like a gorgeous summers day - the mornings we grey and cold and you do need to dress warm - first piece of advice right there - especially if you are on an open top bus.

      ... Woods National Monument is located a mere (teehee) 12 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We seem to have caught San Fran on a foggy day (I think they're usually the ones that end in "y") with one end of the bridge a little sunny for a photograph on the drive over.

      ... is pleading with him to quiet down to no avail. "Please use your indoor voice honey" doesn't work on this one, and probably never will. He is so loud that even my kids are looking at his mom like "lady, tell your kid to zip it"
