After our quick Tuesday morning Santa Fe stroll, we spent the rest of the day driving west and south through vistas of red mesa in spring, summer, winter and again summer temps to Phoenix. We opted for this instead of our original plan of Flagstaff after checking the weather forecast. We were anxious for a blast of heat and sun and that's what we found in Phoenix.
