This is the nicest Super 8 we've stayed in. It's large, well-furnished, and very clean. The price cannot be beat. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Outdated room - but clean. Except a mystery spot on the blanket (which we didn't use). Free breakfast in the morning. Also had a pool which I wouldn't have expected.

Before we left Lexington, we stopped for a Geocache in a nearby park. There is a challenge cache at home for which I can qualify if I find, on one calendar day, two caches which are at least 500 miles apart. We will end the day in Hope, Arkansas, and there is a cache in a lamppost at the Walmart there which is about mile from the hotel and 671 …

Notes from home is that you lost power so our furnace is still not fixed but supposed to be there tomorrow, be glad when that's done so we don't have to worry about it. Feel kind of powerless when so far from home.

We drove around town and we did find a great BBQ spot: The Whole Hog. Go ahead and go whole hog; it was good eats!

We left the next day for Crater of Diamonds State Park, where you can dig your own diamonds and other gems, and keep them if you find them. This old volcanic plain contains the effluent of three volcanic cones, ...

There was a nice trail to the Little Missouri River with an overlook where you could see a few teepees across the water. By far the best place we’ve stayed so far!

I'd say this is what we were hoping for when we planned this trip, and it feels good.

Before intermission of the second show, a man and his young grandson came out for some fresh air. We got to talking and he said that he loves bringing his grandkids to the circus every year. He and I talked for quite a while, him asking a lot of questions about what it’s like to travel with the show and what the people are like who are ...
