      ... and that's the males, fellas. The females are also great looking, better color than deer, less flighty and with bigger tails. Again, although more shy than the buffalo, they are walk right up on the road. I guess they have gotten used to no traffic in the park for a few weeks. Still looking to spot Moose and Squirrel, Natasha! So we are headed back into the park early to seek out additional wonders ...

      ... be kept from bison is something like 45m and these were just the other side of the white line on the bitumen.  Was a little bit wary when a couple of them looked our way.  We don’t have much in the way of protection when sitting on a motor bike. We didn’t see any elk or moose though.  People were lined up at one spot with binoculars out - we asked them what they had spotted and apparently it was a bear which had gone behind a tree.   ...

      ... that he walked off. A woman came out with our meals and introduced herself as the ***** ... And asked if we needed anything else...to afraid to say anything else. Nice meal...       ... We saw many buffalo, antelope, and more buffalo. At the end of the day, Deena commented that she was glad that she had experienced Yellowstone (Tim had been there before as a child), BUT, it wasn't anymore beautiful than the awesome beauty we had already experienced driving up the coast, through the redwoods, and over the mountains in Oregon & Montana.

      After parking for the night in Cooke City, we had NO IDEA what the next day had in store for ...

      ... one of the better ones for sure. Then up to Tower and on into the Lamar Valley. Utterly brilliant, and not called the "Serengeti of Yellowstone" for nothing. Just wide open plains and literally thousands of bison. Honestly we could have been back in the Mara at migration time...was very impressive. Would be the most incredible place to come for a riding safari, maybe something for a few years time! Then lunch and a swim in the Lamar ...
