... challenging coming to the smaller cities with the lack of English speaking but we've survived and got by! Although staying at hostels where English is spoken has helped massively when booking accommodation and trains etc. We are about to end our cruise trip with a two night stop over at Yiachang. We are then taking an 8 hour bullet train to one of China's largest cities Shanghai. Ive read some cool and interesting things about Shanghai so we are looking forward to the visit. Bye for now ...

So, we headed to the Guild Hall, which the Lonely Planet assured us was beautiful and had wonderful operatic practice performances on Thursdays. Needless to say, there were no operatic performances. The place was quite pretty, but certainly not enough to lift our gloomy spirits.

This week I held class outside. The students asked and the administration had previously told me that this was ok. I am told there are only a few more weeks of pleasant weather, and then it becomes blistering and sticky. So, I figured why not. I taught the seven steps of a story.
