... yen or $10,000 US dollars per square meter, yes per meter. In the trendy high end downtown condo market the cost can be $200,000 yen per square meter or approx $40,000 US dollars per square meter. Ouch, W T F

During the evening we took a river cruise that highlights the light show from the towers of Shanghai. The buildings in the middle in particular are massive bill boards which are continuously changing.

I really did need that rant last time. But have no fear, I am not worrying about the test tomorrow since after all I'm here for the Chinese not the grades. I fully intend to get enough sleep tonight. ... girl is fascinating for them. One family asked for photos and then after that about another 5 or 6 families decided each member needed a picture. This continued on and off the boat! Some of them don't even ask for a photo but they walk right up to you, put a camera in your face and walk off. It's okay when they ask because they're quite sweet about it.

That's all from me today. Tomorrow should be a very exciting day though ...

... are heaven!!! By the time we emerge for breakfast, the trains are thoroughly sold out unless we bolt right away and head for a ticket line up. We really want a quiet breakfast and a slower start, so we opt for a 11:15 train so that the tickets can be delivered to the hotel by 9:30. Breakfast turns out to be mediocre, coffee and tea both done disastrously, but never mind, it's all ok, and at 10:30 we board a taxi bound for the train station.
