... the boat and went back onto the bus, which was right next to our disembarkation point - one advantage of group touring is that this sort of organisation makes everything very easy! We drove to the Xian Qiang Fang restaurant for lunch. It is a huge restaurant upstairs in an old building and has very elegant decorations. Unfortunately, we didn't feel that the food matched the quality of the surroundings.

... Yang's Dumplings and we didn't look back. Everyone agreed they are the best dumplings we have ever tasted and at less than $2 for 4 they were a bargin. As part of our wandering we made our way to the insect market. This is a market with people that sell all kinds of insects and animals from crickets to turtles. So I touched down at Shanghai Pudong airport but had about a six hour lay over before my connection flight to Guilin. At first I was starting to feel bored and then I remembered that, the last time I came to China, I spent 12 hours in this airport so I felt pretty relieved. ... not just the Bund or Pudong, but the whole urban layout to the outer ring road. It takes up nearly the entire floor and there are viewing platforms which lead out over it. It certainly beats google maps!
