... soup, mochi, fruit, sausages, eggs, rice, beans, cereal. It sadly didn't taste that great but at least it was a free meal.
To be honest, we couldn't wait to get out of Shanghai - Mike especially. We had only encountered rude people, who stared at us constantly and barged us out of the way at any opportunity. The check in staff at the airport treated us as if we were a huge inconvenience because of our semi-transfer tickets, even though it was their company's mistake. It stank ...

... great. I have shared the Dimetapp! Phil is ok. Today we visited the Yu Garden, a beautiful and lavish garden, built by a man to honour his parents during the Ming Dynas. The garden was lovely, full of ponds of giant goldfish and turtles, quiet resting places, temples and exotic plants. Big ol' giant shopping mall… too many shops, I don’t know if I’ll be able to buy anything for a while. Gah! First I went by myself yesterday evening and then I went again today with KaiXin and Jane (mom here) and KaiXin was doing her whole 7 year old "I don’t want" trick quite a bit.
