My first order of business, after a reliable Western breakfast at the hostel, was to pack some souvenirs up to send home. I had a decently sized shopping bag full of various items, and I took the metro and began the hunt for the international post office. The hunt ended without too much difficulty, and after paying a hefty sum, I was no longer burdened with souvenirs. The zippers on my backpack will be eternally (or rather, momentarily) grateful. ... the spiral western approach lit up with rows of lights changing colours. Unfortunately we didn’t have our camera out, as it really was quite spectacular. The spiral approach is at least half a km diameter, but still produces a lot of centrifugal force at the traffic speeds. Near the bridge was a spectacular circular building with hundreds of multi-coloured strip lights giving an ever-changing moving display.
